Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its fall 2017 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

Clemson University has announced the President's List for the fall 2017 semester.

The State University of New York at Geneseo has announced its Dean's List for the fall semester 2017. To be on the list, a student must have achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average while taking a minimum of 12 credit hours.

A total of 12,594 students enrolled during the 2017 fall semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its year-end awards in football and four Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athletes from have been recognized, led by defensive back Sean Egan, who was named to the First Team. Chosen to the Second Team were defensive lineman Malik Joseph, offensive lineman Chris Neu and return specialist Conor Davies.

As first-year students embark on their college experience, they will all take part in Loyola's living learning program, Messina. The common text for Messina is Just Mercy, by Bryan Stevenson. The book, a compelling first-hand account of a lawyer who defends the poor and wrongly condemned, speaks to the inequality in the justice system.

In Commencement exercises on May 16, 2017, FDU conferred more than 3,000 degrees, ranging from associates to doctorates, on graduates, at MetLife Stadium.

For the second consecutive week, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athlete Ed Trimpert has been chosen as the Offensive Performer of the Week in football by the Liberty League, it has been announced. Joining him as an honoree was Christian Kapp, who was named the Special Teams Performer of the Week. And, Brandt Beck was named to the Weekly Honor Roll.

The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) football team will have four captains for the upcoming 2017 season, fifth-year head coach Ralph Isernia has announced. Leading the Engineers will be seniors Sean Egan, Malik Joseph, Oliver Kaija and Ethan Wells. Egan, Joseph and Kaija play defense, while Wells is a running back.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) student-athlete Christian Kapp has been selected for the Fred Mitchell Award 2017 Watch List. The list includes 36 of the nation's top collegiate place-kickers based on excellence on the football field during the 2016 season and for continued community service during their off-season. Among those listed are players from FCS, Division II, III, NAIA and NJCAA programs.
